Volevo sapere se qualcuno di voi sa come togliere l allarme di manutenzione da un motore HONDA BF40 E senza doverlo per forza attaccare al computer.

NMEA 2000 ® Network Equipped
The hour counter on certain Honda outboard motors counts the number of operating hours since
the last time periodic maintenance was performed and the hour counter was reset. When the next
periodic maintenance is due, the engine notifies the NMEA 2000 ® network, and a maintenance
indication is displayed on an NMEA 2000 ® compatible device.
The Owner’s Manual that was provided with your engine may not have included instructions on how
to reset the hour counter after performing periodic maintenance. The table below lists the Honda
outboard models and starting serial number that use the operating hour notification system. The
procedure for resetting the hour counter is shown on page 2.

The following procedure explains how to reset the hour counter after periodic maintenance is
completed. If you are not comfortable resetting this feature using the procedure below, contact an
authorized Honda Marine dealer for assistance. Visit marine.honda.com to find a dealer near you,
or call Honda Customer Relations at 770-497-6400, option 6.
After periodic maintenance is performed, follow these steps to reset the hour counter.
1. Be sure to turn OFF the engine before beginning the reset procedure. Pull the emergency stop
switch clip out of the emergency stop switch by pulling the emergency stop switch lanyard.
2. Put the shift lever in “F” (Forward) or “R” (Reverse).
3. Turn the ignition switch ON. Do not start the engine. The buzzer will sound once.
4. Press the emergency stop switch 5 times within 20 seconds. The buzzer will sound once
indicating the hour counter is reset.
Periodic maintenance is required when either the operating hours or the time since the last
maintenance reaches the prescribed limit. Therefore, periodic maintenance may be required before
the hour counter generates a maintenance indication.
Reset the hour counter whenever maintenance is performed, whether based on the time interval or
the number of operating hours.

In pratica togli la spina di sicurezza, metti la leva in marcia avanti o indietro, giri la chiave di accensione e premi per 5 volte entro 20 secondi lo switch dove non hai inserito la spina di sicurezza
