Which model should I buy, ZAR 47 or ZAR 53? (pls consider my circumstances)

Hi guys,

I am really messed up as I don't know which model should I choose between these 2.

It will be on top of a trailer and it will be launched in a ramp every day it will be used.

The major part of the times I will have to carry this operation me alone/myself and I will also sail on my own.

I will mainly use it for spearfishing (pls consider the space required for the spearfishing gear) and fishing activities.

Ocasionally I might sail with some more friend and cruise with family and friends.

The 47 is smaller (but only 49 cm) and lighter (arround 100 Kg according to the manufacuter), but can I manage with a 53 on my own or do you think it will be too complicated?

On other hand I understand that the 53 is a completely different boat and sails much better, but it would also require a bigger size engine which means bigger consumption.

which model do you choose under my circumstances?

When your arms are strong enough to manage a 47 on the ramp, they would be strong enough to manage a 53 too.

Most problems on a ramp don't arise from weight itself, but from the need of managing car, trailer, boat, ropes, winch, alignment, mooring and parking; especially if you operate all alone.

I guess that 60cm of length more will give you a strong benefit in the water and just few issues more on the ground.

So, in my humble opinion, go with 53 in total serenity.

no matter there's only an answer: 53 considered best seller for this measure (see the last "il gommone")

I have a 3ton boat and I use the ramp everytime..

I would like to read that article but unfortunately the magazine "Il Gommone" is not on sale in Spain...

I've also considered buying second hand but it is more complicate, apparently the docs of the engine are diferent and I would have to legaliza the trailer in Spain.

I would rather by the boat in Italy, the engine in Spain, and collect the boat myself with a trailer bought and registred in Spain.
